- The UK is set to mass produce advanced interceptor drones to help Ukraine counter Russian aerial attacks.
- These drones, developed with Ukrainian design and support from UK scientists and technicians, have proven effective against Russian one-way attack aircraft and are more cost-efficient than traditional air defence missiles.
- Defence Secretary John Healey will officially announce this project, the first under a new technology-sharing agreement with Kyiv, at the DSEI trade show in London.
- The partnership, which includes the sharing and joint development of intellectual property, aims to bolster Ukraine's defence capabilities while also creating jobs in the UK.
- Healey also condemned Russia's recent incursion into Polish airspace and has requested the UK Armed Forces to explore options for strengthening NATO's air defence over Poland.
