The New England Patriots pulled off a bit of an upset last week when they took down the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 thanks to Nick Folk’s second game-winning field goal of the season.
New England’s defense looked much better against Arizona than they had played against Houston, as they were able to keep the dynamic Kyler Murray in check.
Now, Bill Belichick’s squad will be faced with the tough task of defeating a Los Angeles Chargers team that is loaded with talent despite their lowly 3-8 record.
If the Patriots want to sneak their way into the playoffs they’ll have to come away with a victory on Sunday. And, while some may think the Chargers are a team that they should roll over, it’s not going to be that easy.
These are the reasons New England should be concerned about this matchup with the first of the two Los Angeles teams.
