Why the buzz around quarterback C.J. Stroud is warranted

There are a few things that are near-certainties in the draft evaluation world.

One of them? The next quarterback class is always “going to be better.”

In reality, that may or may not pan out. That is the case this season, as uncertainty about the 2022 crop of quarterbacks has led some evaluators to think QB-needy teams might kick the decision down the road and focus on the 2023 draft for their passer needs.

Part of the reason for that shift in mindset? The play from Ohio State redshirt freshman C.J. Stroud.
