Why Texans fans should be excited about Tytus Howard

The Houston Texans have selected Alabama State Offensive Tackle Tytus Howard with the 23rd overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This pick is a bit of a head scratcher with Cody Ford and Jawaan Taylor on the board. Howard is a talented player though with good build and athleticism. He has the upside to be a good tackle in the NFL but he has a ways to go. That being said though, he can be a good tackle.

For the Texans, taking the chance on Howard could turn out to be quite beneficial. If he reaches his potential, this pick could be great for the Texans. With his length, size, and athleticism, he has the make up to be a very good tackle. He will need development and teaching but I don’t hate this pick for a team that desperately needs to hit a home-run on the offensive line.
