Why Swansea Quadrant bus station was evacuated this morning

Shoppers and passengers had to be evacuated from Swansea 's bus station on Wednesday, October 14.

Crowds of people waiting to catch their bus were forced to leave the bus station just after 10am.

There was lots of speculation circulating on social media about the cause of the evacuation as people congregated outside the Quadrant after the fire alarm was activated.

But officers from South Wales Police have said they were called to the bus station after concerns were raised about a man's welfare.
