Why Strictly fans believe Dan Walker will leave the competition this weekend - 'he's over'

Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced that Dan Walker will have his work cut out to stay in the BBC competition this weekend.

The reason? He's been given the rumba to do on Saturday's show, to the tune of Desperado.

The rumba is the most challenging dance for male celebrities, you need a lot of fluidity and it's hard not to look 'spikey'.

The rumba has already claimed England rugby player Ugo Monye this series and many fans think BBC Breakfast's Walker will go this weekend.

Courtney on twitter said: "Oh no, Dan got the rumba which is one of the hardest dances even for the best dancers. I fear he might end up going this week but I hope I'm wrong."

Ryan Glendenning said: "I think Dan could be in serious trouble this weekend. The rumba is a very difficult dance for the male celeb. Is it finally time for him to say goodbye?"

Ranvannistan said: "Dan doing the rumba to ‘Desperado’ seems a bit on the nose ."

Sarah said: "Dan got rumba? He's over."

Michaela Dawn Chand said: "Work extra hard Dan! The rumba has seen the back of many a male celeb I imagine. Tough one."

Jon Chalk said: "Dan + rumba = train wreck."

Despite the fears of fans, Walker posted an upbeat message on his twitter page about training with Nadiya Bychkova.

He said he was excited to be in week 10, but said if anyone could lend him some hips he would be grateful.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 6.55pm with the live show and at 7.20pm on Sunday with the pre-recorded results show.
