Why Stan Collymore cannot bring himself to back Leeds United for play-off glory

Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore is refusing to give a verdict on the play-offs.

The footballer turned pundit was writing in his weekly column for The Mirror and spoke about the four-team shootout in the Championship.

Collymore's old club face West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United will tackle Derby County - and Collymore can't call it.

He writes: "I hate sitting on the fence when it comes to predictions, but that's exactly what I am going to do with the Championship play-offs because I really am struggling to call them.

"The best team on their day is Leeds, but they have been a little lacklustre of late and Derby have no better motivation than getting revenge for Spygate.

"In the other tie, my heart says Aston Villa will beat West Brom but my head says, 'I'm sorry, but I just don't know.'"
