Why Serena Williams’ Queen’s campaign has been plunged into doubt

  • Mboko was visibly distressed and told staff that 'there is no stability right now' in her knee, though she was able to walk off the court independently.
  • Earlier in the tournament, Mboko and tennis great Serena Williams secured a victory in their first doubles match together, defeating Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe.
  • The duo was scheduled to play their next doubles match against Leylah Fernandez and Laura Siegemund on Thursday evening at the Queen’s Club.
