The Seattle Seahawks selected Utah safety Marquise Blair with the 47th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Blair is an athletic and lengthy defensive back. With a six-foot-one, 195-pound frame and a 4.48 40-yard dash at the Combine, he has a rare size and speed combination. He is an aggressive tackler who isn’t afraid of contact. He is also a very versatile player who can play in the box, in two-high coverage and as a cornerback.
While not very fluid or disciplined in run support, his physical tools have him drafted this high.
Seattle is notorious for liking lengthy defensive backs, and Blair fits that mold. He joins a revamped secondary that looks to pick up where the Legion of Boom left off.
