The Seattle Seahawks have selected TCU defensive end L.J Collier with the 29th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
This pick is a bit of a reach but he does fit what the Seahawks like in their defenders. He is a strong and explosive player who plays with a ton of energy. He performed very well at the Senior Bowl and put together a couple good years of film at TCU. Not a flashy pick but a solid player.
For the Seahawks, taking the chance on Collier could turn out to be quite beneficial. He moves well and could provide a good pass rush for a team that desperately needs it.
After trading away Frank Clark, the Seahawks needed an edge rush. Collier is a big bodied guy who can help them with that pass rushing issue.
