Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have split.
The couple - who share a 15 year age gap - had a good run at proving their critics wrong with Sophia, who was just 18 when she hooked up with dad-of-three, praised as a calming influence on the party boy.
While the daughter of Lionel Richie had seemingly been welcomed into the heart of the Kardashian family - no easy feat considering Scott's long history with Kourtney, with whom he shares three young children.
But yesterday, it was reported Scott and Sophia had gone their separate ways with the relationship 'running its course' after three years.
The news came after Scott spent his 37th birthday with the Kardashian sisters who have rallied around him after his latest attempt to seek treatment for 'emotional issues' sparked by the death of both his parents.
Leaving Scott in Los Angeles, Sofia has spent lockdown miles away in Malibu where she's been snapped enjoying herself with friends.
Last night the break-up was reported by various outlets, with sources saying "Scott had gone back to his old ways" and "Sofia got fed up."
It's claimed the split was Sofia's choice with the model taking steps to move her stuff out of Scott's home.
"Sofia thinks Scott has a lot on his plate right now and thinks it's best for them to be apart so he can focus on himself. She is only looking out for him and his best interest and it was primarily her decision for them to split."
However, reports that the break up was amicable have been raised into question by US sources claiming Kourtney Kardashian played a part in the decision.
"Kourtney didn't make it easy for [Sofia] and you can only tolerate that kind of treatment for so long," a source told Page Six.
In February, sources close to Sofia said she was refusing to 'bite her lip' when it came to Kourtney after their volatile relationship had become fraught.
Sofia, 21, had already sent the rumour mill into over drive by sensationally quitting Keeping Up with the Kardashians where she had made several appearances with Scott, 36, and deleting Kourtney, 40, off social media.
Insiders then claimed Sofia had vowed to not hold back when it comes to speaking her mind on Kourtney's 'attitude' after previously keeping quiet on their issues.
An insider told Radar: "Sofia has literally spent years biting her lip and dealing with all of Kourt’s attitude, but now she’s totally done with it.
"She’s taking the initiative and making it known that she won’t be bullied or talked down to anymore," they added.
"Scott is right in the middle of it all, but he’s actually impressed with Sofia’s hardheaded new approach,” the insider said, noting, “He told her to play nice and got her to follow Kourt again [on social media] after she made a statement by deleting her.”
The source also claimed Scott had stepped and told Kourtney to 'show some respect' when they're all together.
Scott and Sophia first hooked up back in 2017.
The pair caused a stir when they were snapped looking cosy on a yacht in France during the Cannes Film Festival as Scott celebrated his 37th birthday.
They quickly became inseparable before making things Instagram official by posting matching snaps.
Sophia's dad Lionel Richie said at the time he was 'scared to death' of his youngest child going out with Scott.
The American Idol judge told US Weekly: "Have I been in shock?! I'm the dad, come on. I'm scared to death, are you kidding me?"
Sofia and Scott did split in 2018 with rumours swirling he cheated on her but the pair got back together.
