Romelu Lukaku is running out of time to secure a move away from Manchester United before their pre-season tour.
Lukaku returned to Carrington ahead of schedule this week for talks with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Belgian striker is keen to leave Old Trafford this summer after emerging as Antonio Conte's top target at Inter Milan.
United are willing to let him go if their £80m valuation is met but Inter are yet to get anywhere near that price tag.
Lukaku won't force a move but had hoped his future would be clearer before United jetted out for their tour to Australia and the Far East.
Solskjaer's squad jet out to Perth on Sunday as their pre-season plans continue with Lukaku's involvement unclear - although he is expected to be part of the travelling group.
The former Everton striker and his camp accept that a deal is unlikely to be agreed before then but they hope to have an update from United, reports the Standard.
Inter are due to face United in Singapore later this month.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is expected to travel with the United squad despite being yet to return to pre-season.
Pogba has been given an extended break following his international excursions and has spent time in New York this week.
The Frenchman is a target for Real Madrid and Juventus and has made no secret of his desire to leave the club this summer.
He will also seek talks with Solskjaer and United chiefs about his future before the pre-season tour.
Solskjaer is keen to travel with his strongest possible squad with Lukaku and Pogba remaining a part of that.
