The Washington Redskins have selected Ohio State Quarterback Dwayne Haskins with the 15th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
It has been quite a year for Haskins, going from backup quarterback last season to starter at Ohio State to first round NFL starter. He is one of the most talented players in this draft and he put on an absolute show for the Buckeyes last year. He is decisive and quick with his decision making and understands how to distribute the ball to his play makers.
He may not be the perfect prospect but he is a talented, young quarterback who can step in and contribute right away.
For the Redskins, taking the chance on Haskins could turn out to be quite beneficial. The Redskins have needed a franchise QB since Robert Griffin III busted years ago and Haskins could be that guy. He is accurate and confident and should be a capable distributor in their offense.
He is a good fit with the Redskins team and should be the best quarterback the team has had in years. Good pick to get their future signal caller in the mid first round.
