The Oakland Raiders have selected Alabama running back Josh Jacobs with the 24th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Jacobs is another player who has come a long way to earn this selection. Not a big time recruit out of high school, he fought his way into the spotlight at Alabama and was one of the better backs they’ve had there.
He is a violent and powerful runner who plays every play like it is his last. His strength combined with great burst make him a valuable running back in today’s NFL. He also offers some impressive ability as a blocker and as a pass catcher too.
For the Raiders, taking the chance on Jacobs could turn out to be quite beneficial. Jacobs is a violent runner and he perfectly replaces the violent runner that just retired in Marshawn Lynch. He can block, he can catch, and he can find holes as a runner. He is a good addition to this offense and should be an all around playmaker for this team.
