Why Prince William might miss the birth of Harry and Meghan Markle's royal baby

If Prince Harry has any worries about becoming a first-time dad, he's got the ultimate support in the form of his brother, the Duke of Cambridge.

Having sired three kids in rapid succession (and with constant rumours of there being a fourth in the royal pipeline ), William is no doubt a veteran of sleepless nights, worry over baby poo colour/consistency and all the other things which keep new parents awake.

Unfortunately, if Harry needs his brother actually by his side when baby Sussex comes along, he may have to wait a while.

Prince Harry 'banished' loyal childhood pal after he told him not to marry Meghan Markle

Relax, though, royal fans, it's not because of any alleged feud between William and Harry (or Kate and Meghan, depending on what you believe).

Instead, it was announced by Kensington Palace that Prince William will journey to New Zealand next month to pay his respects to the victims of the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack.

William has been asked by the Queen to visit the Commonwealth country in a show of support from the royal family after PM Jacinda Ardern requested a visit.

Why Meghan Markle probably won't ask Kate Middleton and William to be baby's Godparents

The palace confirmed the visit in a tweet which read: "The Duke of Cambridge will visit New Zealand on behalf of The Queen to honour the victims of the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack.

"The visit in late April will be made at the request of the Prime Minister of New Zealand."

The Duke of Cambridge visited New Zealand following the Christchurch earthquakes in 2011.

This means there's a chance he'll be on the other side of the world when the Duchess of Sussex gives birth.

Meghan is due to give birth in the next few weeks (PA)

Piers Morgan brands Meghan Markle a 'piece of work' and has savage warning for Prince Harry

While there's no official announcement on the baby's due date, Meghan was heard telling royal fans in January that her baby was expected in "late April".

Maybe he should look into sending a Moonpig card, in case he's still away for the birth of his niece or nephew.
