Why police were called to Redcliffe in early hours of morning

Police were called to a man with a head injury in the early hours of this morning (December 21).

Emergency services descended on Broad Quay to give assistance shortly after 2am.

A passer-by took photographs of emergency workers at the scene, saying there were six police cars in attendance.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary told Bristol Live: "We responded to a medical incident in Central Quay North, Broad Quay around 2.15am.

"We were called by ambulance to man who had head injury.

"He had fallen and injured head and was taken to hospital."
