A police helicopter was deployed after reports of a 'motorbike being driven erratically'.
Officers were called to the incident in Bestwood Park Drive West, between Rise Park and Top Valley, at 5.04pm Wednesday (May 6).
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said the vehicle failed to stop.
There have been no arrests in connection with the incident.
Readers told Nottinghamshire Live the helicopter, which left an hour later, could be seen hovering over Top Valley.
