Piers Morgan was nowhere to be seen on Monday's Good Morning Britain.
And viewers were left divided as the presenting line-up faced a re-shuffle.
Richard Bacon was in Piers Morgan's place as well as Peter Andre taking over the showbiz segment, Manchester Evening News reports.
Former Blue Peter presenter Richard joined Susanna Reid, but the change is not permanent.
The 54-year-old took the day off as he recovered from his annual golf competition over the weekend.
And whilst some were glad of the break from Piers' no holds barred views, others missed their usual wake up call.
"Well why didn't anyone tell me that Piers was off and Richard Bacon was on #gmb instead? I'd have got up earlier if I'd known," said one pleased viewer.
Another said: "Nice to wake up to Richard Bacon on #GMB."
However, a disappointed fan complained: "No Piers...on a Monday.. not a good start to my week #GMB."
"Omg when you turn on @GMB expecting @piersmorgan and get Richard Bacon. No thank you!," added another.
A third commented: "#GMB very disappointed to wake up to Richard bacon where's Piers Morgan?"
Whilst a confused viewer said: "Richard bacon and Peter Andre - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON @GMB #GMB this is NOT the start to my Monday I need."
"Poor Richard Bacon. Judging by the twitter sphere this morning he’s more unpopular than @piersmorgan."
Taking to Instagram this morning, Richard told his followers he would be stepping into Piers' shoes and gave him a bit of a warning.
Alongside a photo at the GMB desk alongside Susanna, Peter and Charlotte Hawkins, the 43-year-old wrote: "Piers Morgan understudying again. He must be shi**ing himself."
