Why Packers fans should be excited about Elgton Jenkins

The Green Bay Packers selected Mississippi State center Elgton Jenkins with the 44th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jenkins, who is six-foot-four and 310 pounds, can play just about any position along the offensive line. He started games at left tackle, right tackle, left guard and center at Mississippi State, showcasing his versatility. He is a strong blocker who packs a punch and can hold up interior defensive linemen on a consistent basis.

Jenkins plays with good hand placement and understands the importance of leverage.

Green Bay needed some help on their interior offensive line, and they found a potential starter in Jenkins. He will help boost up a unit tasked with protecting Aaron Rodgers in Matt LaFleur’s new offense.
