Why Odion Ighalo is not starting for Manchester United against Club Brugge

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is managing fitness levels after naming his Manchester United team to face Club Brugge in the Europa League.

United are in Belgium on Thursday night as they look to secure a positive result in the first leg of their Europa League round of 32 tie.

Solskjaer has made six changes from the side which defeated Chelsea on Monday night with January signings Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo both on the bench.

Ighalo impressed as he made his United debut as a substitute at Stamford Bridge earlier in the week, but is still not ready to start a game for the club.

"We were thinking Mason (Greenwood) for this game," Solskjaer told MUTV.

"He didn't feel well so now Anthony starts and Odion will probably come on.

"We have got plenty of games coming up. There is not too much between players and we want to have competition between places.

"If we are to be successful in the league, the Europa League and FA Cup we need everyone, and today was a chance to give them a chance because we payed Monday. (It was) A physical and mental test for everyone. So we made a few changes."
