Nottingham Forest's four-goal thumping at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday last week was inevitable to some degree.
That's according to Wednesday captain Tom Lees, who saw a hammering coming.
Jordan Rhodes scored a hat-trick at the City Ground and Steve Fletcher also got on the scoreboard with all the goals coming in the first-half.
The result saw Forest fall out of the top six, Wednesday taking their place in fifth.
Forest now have to pick up the pieces ahead of a clash with Huddersfield in West Yorkshire this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Owls are still on cloud nine, even if they foresaw the four-star performance coming.
“I think what we have got now is probably what we have not had over the last couple of seasons," Lees told the Sheffield Star.
“We have out and out wingers who are putting the ball in the box. We have seen Fletcher has benefited from that and so will Jordan.
The Owls skipper added: “We have created a lot of chances lately and not killed teams off.
“I thought it was only a matter of time before someone was on the end of a hiding.
“We were clinical and got the job done in the first half. We were professional in the second half and kept a clean sheet.”
