Mika Baur is adamant Celtic is the correct move from him at this stage of his career, after speaking to former Parkhead winger Nicolas Kuhn.
The 22-year-old was today announced as the club's fourth summer signing, arriving from Bundesliga new boys Paderborn and signing a four-year deal.
He had been linked from early summer and attempts to do the deal dragged on but it was one they finally got over the line.
Now that he is in the building ahead of the weekend's Premier Sports Cup Clash with Dundee United, he is delighted to be in the east end of Glasgow.
Asked why he was convinced Celtic was the correct destination for him, he told the club's YouTube channel: "It is absolutely the right move here. It is a great club, it is big.
"I just heard incredible things about the fans, about the nights, Champions nights. Celtic are the champions. I want to win something. I think I am in the right place for that."

He also explained to fans the type of player he is - a midfielder who likes to get on the ball and make things happen, while also working hard with a bit of grit.
"I think I can be a playmaker. I love to have the ball on my feet, always be there, not scared to take it. My play style is really confident. I am a good technical player and I always play my heart on the field. I fight; everyone can expect that," said Baur.
Baur spoke to former Celtic winger Kuhn, who left in a £17m deal to sign for Como last summer. His fellow German, who is signed to the same agency, urged him to jump at the chance of making the move.
He explained: "Yes, I did [speak to Kuhn]. We are in the same agency, so I called him and asked a couple of questions. He was so positive. He said, 'If you have the chance, just do it,' because he can't explain it, you have to feel it. It was incredible and after the call with him, it was sure for me."
The Germany under-21 international is yet to experience a night at Celtic Park under the lights but has seen it from afar - watching a Champions League clash with RB Leipzig at home.
He insists he was able to get a feel for it even at a distance
"I did. I remember a Champions night against Leipzig. I watched on TV on the couch at home. You can feel it from sitting at the TV. You can feel it, you can see it, the emotions in the stadium. That is what I am here for," added Baur.
