Why Melody Thornton isn't in Pussycat Dolls as they announce reunion tour

Pussycat Dolls were left scratching their heads on Thursday when one of the group's most popular members was missing in action as they confirmed their reunion and announced tour dates for next year.

In an interview on Good Morning Britain, Nicole Scherzinger , Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar revealed are returning for some more Doll Domination with a that will play a number of venues in the UK in the spring.

But after the dust settled on all the reunion excitement, fans of the American girl group were left wondering where Melody Thornton was. The singer, who went on to be a contestant on Dancing on Ice, wasn't part of the interview and isn't going to join the girls on tour - but why?

Well...PCD founder Robin Antin, who started things off way before the girls hit number 1 around the world with Don't Cha, confirmed Melody will not be part of the reunion, telling The Sun that ‘at this time, it wasn’t right’ for the 35-year-old.

In the past there had been rumours of a rift between Melody and Nicole but, quashing this speculation, Robin added that the door ‘is always open’ for her to return.

Pussycat Dolls will make their big TV comeback with a greatest hits medley on Saturday night's X Factor Celebrity final, with show judge Nicole stepping out from behind the panel into the spotlight to join her bandmates.
