With temperatures reaching the early-teens and the sun out amongst the clouds over the weekend, many were enjoying the outdoors and happened to spot the peculiar cloud and snap their own pictures. Many made reference to the cloud possibly being a 'Lenticular cloud' - a stationary cloud that forms in parallel alignment to the wind direction and are often compared to a saucer due to their shape.
One person commented: "Seen this last night walking the dog in Blackley, absolutely no clouds in the sky apart from this one. Weird." As another wrote: "That's no cloud, that's a space station!"
Others also shared their thoughts, with one person adding: "They (aliens) are watching. They want to reveal but don’t think we are ready" followed by another comment, reading: "Battlestar Gallactica" and "That’s not a cloud. That’s just a portal to another dimension."
"I thought it was some kind of UFO at first" posted another person, who claim they spotted the singular cloud near Preston. As another said: "It’s a porthole for aliens to enter the earth ... I think!"
