Why Manchester United absolutely hate facing West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has a good record against Manchester United, and that record continued on Sunday.

The Hammers came out as 2-0 winners against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, thanks to goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell either side of half time.

The win took West Ham above their opponents and mean they end the weekend in fifth place in the table after six league games, with just one loss, the opening day defeat to Manchester City.

Of the 13 games the Chilean has taken charge of against the Red Devils, Pellegrini has won five, drawn five and lost just three.

The win is West Ham's second home win in a row over Manchester United, after last season saw them register a 3-1 victory in September, with Filipe Anderson and Marco Arnaoutovic finding the net.

Pellegrini's good record against Manchester is highlighted by the fact that he is the first ever manager to claim wins against four different managers of the club in the Premier League.

The West Ham boss has led his team to victory over Manchester United teams led by David Moyes, Louis Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Hammers face United in the return fixture in May 2020, where Pellegrini will be looking to extend his impressive record against the club.
