The winners of the FA Cup automatically qualify for the Europa League but if City, who will play in the Champions League next season on account of their league finish this season, were to win it, that berth would be handed to the seventh-placed finisher in the Premier League - either Wolves or Leicester.
If, however, Watford were to win at Wembley, they would bypass the qualifying stage and United, who are set to finish sixth in the league, would be sent into the qualifiers instead.
United already have a pre-season friendly against Tottenham pencilled on July 25 in Shanghai as part of their tour of China.
