'Why Lukaku is not starting' - Chelsea fans in agreement with Thomas Tuchel's lineup for Leeds

Chelsea will be hoping to get back to winning ways this weekend as they face Leeds United in the Premier League.

The Blues tasted defeat for just the second time in the Premier League last week, falling to West Ham United 3-2 after a disastrous performance from the usually-reliable Edouard Mendy.

Thomas Tuchel's side now sit third in the league standings - two points behind first-placed Manchester City going into this weekend's fixtures.

Now, the German coach has named his starting lineup for the must-win fixture, with Timo Werner leading the line, supported by talented playmakers Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

Elsewhere, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho anchor the midfield whilst Edouard Mendy comes back into the starting XI after Kepa Arrizabalaga played in midweek against Zenit.

Blues supporters were left bemused at Tuchel's decision to bench club-record signing Romelu Lukaku and they certainly let him know on social media. Here is how a select few on Twitter reacted to the lineup.

@CfcSheikh: "Timo and Havertz linkup. We feasting today."

@CFC_Avinash: "Jorgi is back...but then u see Alonso starts."

@Mehzap: "Clean sheet and a win."

@AP4063: "Good lineup lesssgo."

@petizzy_: "Just win and keep a clean sheet while at it."

@Ziyechman: "Werner Havertz Mount let's goooooo."

@AtTheBridgePod: "Romelu Lukaku on the bench is quite the surprise."

@Cai_CFC: "Surprised Lukaku is on the bench, but I like the look of the front 3. Please win. Come on Chelsea!"

Confirmed Chelsea starting XI: Edouard Mendy, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Marcus Alonso, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner
