Why Logan Paul and KSI have teamed up to sign a deal with Arsenal

Arsenal have announced Prime Hydrate as their brand new hydration partner ahead of the next Premier League campaign. The company is owned by social media influencers Logan Paul and Olajide Olatunji - who goes by the online name KSI.

The drink will be available at the Emirates as of Saturday, for the Emirates Cup final clash with Sevilla and comes in a variety of flavours. The joint venture from Paul and Olatunji came following their time together on YouTube, where they built up an online following over the past decade.

The duo helped pioneer the current landscape of YouTube celebrity boxing, facing off with each other twice in the ring. The first bout ended in a draw before KSI won the second fight on split decision, however they have since ditched the boxing gloves for the drinks market.

KSI, a lifelong Arsenal fan, told the official club website about his joy in getting a deal completed: "Honestly, I can’t believe it, this is a childhood dream of mine.

"From watching Arsenal tear up the Premier League in the early 2000’s to now being associated with Arsenal officially with PRIME, it’s a dream come true and I’m still pinching myself! This is a huge moment and I’m so glad it’s with the team I support."

Arsenal's Chief Commercial Officer, Juliet Slot, explained the idea behind partnering up with the two influencers: "We are always looking to join forces with new, exciting and forward-thinking brands. PRIME falls comfortably into that category, with a product and founders at the forefront of modern culture.

"KSI is a lifelong Arsenal supporter and it’s fantastic we can keep this in the family. I’m sure our supporters will love the drink and I’m excited to see the fun ways we will bring this partnership to life."
