Dean Ashton says Leeds United have the best opportunity to survive in the Premier League out of the clubs that were promoted from the Championship last season.
The Whites are set to take on Liverpool on Saturday in their first game back in the top flight following last season's Championship title win.
Dean Ashton was speaking ahead of the return of the EFL on Quest highlights show this Saturday.
They have already caused a splash in the transfer market having signed Rodrigo and Robin Koch and been linked with the likes of Rodrigo De Paul and Julian Draxler.
Quest pundit Ashton says Leeds have the chance to be this season's Sheffield United after the Blades' impressive first campaign back in the Premier League.
Part of why he feels the Whites will be okay is due to the fact they have proved themselves hard to beat.
EFL on Quest returns this Saturday at 9pm and throughout the season on Wednesdays at 10.30pm for mid-week fixtures. Stream live and catch-up on dplay.
"I think Leeds have got the best opportunity," he said.
"As Sheffield United showed, if you're good defensively, it really gives you a chance in the Premier League.
"Norwich shipping over 70 goals shows you've got no hope unless you're harder to beat and Leeds were.
"Leeds were absolutely superb defensively.
"They do create chances and will they be able to take them with Patrick Bamford in a higher league and Rodrigo coming in with Champions League experience?
"I think Leeds will be fine, I think they'll survive but it will be more two or three places above the relegation zone."
