Why large number of emergency services were called to Chilwell street

Multiple fire engines and police cars were called to a Nottinghamshire street this afternoon.

An eyewitness said they saw three fire engines and multiple police cars at the scene in Inham Road Chilwell on Friday afternoon (March 12).

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman confirmed to Nottinghamshire Live the force and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a car crashing into a fence.

It is believed this is due to the handbrake not being applied or working properly.

There were no injuries and no suspicious circumstances and officers had left the scene before 5.25pm.
