Why Kawhi Leonard should stay with the Raptors when free agency hits

Although Kawhi Leonard’s season in Toronto isn’t over yet — the Raptors are one game away from an Eastern Conference Finals berth if they take down the Philadelphia 76ers — Tuesday night’s game was a reminder that he should stay when free agency hits.

As our Charles Curtis notes above, Leonard is a great fit on the team, he’s the centerpiece superstar surrounded by a balance set of role players and can play alongside young breakout stud Pascal Siakam. Having a good head coach in Nick Nurse helps, too.

Of course, there’s one thing that could really help convince him: Winning a title. And that’s still in the cards for Leonard and the Raps.
