Katie Price hopes for babies and marriage this year after drink-drive scandal

Katie Price said she is looking forward to "no drama" in 2022 after her drink-drive controversy and "traumatic" crash last year.

The businesswoman and former model appeared on Good Morning Britain today (Tuesday, January 4) hand-in-hand with her son Harvey, and declared that "2022 is definitely my year".

She said she is even hoping for marriage and babies, and that she will see a therapist "forever" as she tries to address issues that led up to the collision.

The 43-year-old said: "First of all 22 is my lucky number, my birthday and I don't know if you remember Deal or No Deal - the main box, that was 22.

"This has to be my year of no dramas. So much happened last year.

"This is the year for me - babies, marriage, I want it all. Like I said before I've definitely found 'the one' with Carl [Woods] and we will get married and it will be in England."

Last month Katie was handed a suspended jail sentence, after she admitted drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Police arrested her and she was taken to hospital after she was involved in a collision near Partridge Green in Sussex in September.

She was also given a two-year driving ban.

Speaking on GMB this morning, she said she is "not even a big drinker" and she wants to focus on her health and particularly mental health this year.

She added: "The events leading up to it [the crash] were really traumatic and it's still been traumatic after so I'm not ready to talk about yet.

"But what I can say is obviously I went to the Priory and I've made the decision finally that I will see a therapist every week forever to deal with the traumatic events that led up to that car [crash]."

She said "there are reasons why I got in that car" but that she is not yet ready to discuss the circumstances.

The controversial interview is trending on Twitter this morning, with many people expressing the view that she might not have escaped jail or been given a platform to explain her reasoning if not for her celebrity status.

However, viewers were keen to commend 19-year-old Harvey for his appearance on the show - particularly his live singing of We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
