Why Jurgen Klopp says his Liverpool players have no time to celebrate Champions League win against Porto

Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool can't afford to under-estimate lowly Cardiff City as he turned the focus back to the Premier League title race.

The Reds boss says his players don't have time to celebrate reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League for the second successive season after beating Porto 6-1 on aggregate.

The squad will fly home from Portugal on Thursday to prepare for Sunday's trip to face Neil Warnock's side.

Porto manager insists outcome was 'unfair' against Liverpool in Champions League

Cardiff gave themselves hope of staying up by beating fellow strugglers Brighton on Tuesday night and Klopp will demand the same respect that Liverpool showed Porto.

“We fly tomorrow and then get ourselves ready for another big game on Sunday," Klopp said.

"Cardiff is completely back in the race because of the result the other night. They will fight for it and I don't think it will be any less intense than tonight. That's the next job to do."

Klopp was asked about reports in Portugal that Sporting Lisbon are keen to sign Liverpool youngster Rafa Camacho this summer.

The 18-year-old's future is uncertain as he reaches the final year of his current contract.

“Wonderful player, really good player," Klopp said.

"Very well educated in Portugal and we gave him the next level so a really good player. What he will do and where he wants to go or not, that's not something for today."
