With Spurs not in action due to the Premier League's first-ever winter break, Mourinho was spotted taking in the top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash.
Tottenham are not in action again until next Sunday, when they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa.
However, the following Wednesday, February 19, Spurs return to European action as they host RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last-16 UEFA Champions League tie.
Mourinho, as a result, has taken the Premier League's break to scout on his soon-to-be opponents, in what is a crucial match.
He could have hardly asked for a better clash to watch them in either, away at reigning German champions Bayern Munich.
Ahead of kick-off, Bayern lead the table by just a solitary point as first faced second.
Given Bayern are also still in the Champions League, taking on Chelsea in the last 16, it gives Mourinho the chance to also take notes on their tactics, given they could meet up in the quarter-finals, should both sides progress.
