Why Jonson Clarke-Harris has not travelled to Ireland with Bristol Rovers

Graham Coughlan says a trio of Bristol Rovers players have not made the trip to Ireland due to injury.

The Gas are training in Dublin this week and have a friendly against St Mochta's tomorrow night.

Yet they will be without Jonson Clarke-Harris, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis and Sam Matthews - with Coughlan saying some of the three need operations to tidy up niggling injuries.

He said: "We've got one or two little injury worries.

"There's one or two niggles and one or two bumps and bruises - we've had Michael Kelly and Ed Upson laid up Monday and Tuesday but they returned this evening.

"So that's a good sign but we've got some who aren't with us in Jonson Clarke-Harris, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis and Sam Matthews.

"There's one or two of them that will require little procedures, little tidy up operations and things like that.

"So we'll review them when we get back - hopefully it's nothing too serious but given the absent of left footers I had to maybe act in the market to get a little bit of balance to the squad."
