Why it's unlikely Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi's 'head will be turned' amid Premier League links

Given he’s overseen a charge towards the top end of the Championship table, it comes as no surprise to see Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi linked with other clubs this week.

The Frenchman has the Reds on track for a promotion push this season, currently sitting fourth in the table.

It has led to rumours that both top-flight sides Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers have cast admiring glances his way.

The man himself has dismissed those reports, saying he has had no contact from other clubs and that he is “happy” at the City Ground.

And with the opportunity to lead Forest into the Premier League himself, the Reds will be hoping that’s how things stay.

“Whether there’s any truth to the rumours or not, it’s still a reflection of what he’s done so far at the City Ground and the position he’s got Forest into,” says Reds reporter Sarah Clapson, in our latest Forest video.

“It would be no surprise if other teams are looking at what he’s doing, because he’s done so well in a short space of time.

“But for Lamouchi, at the minute, while it will no doubt be very flattering, he seems very settled and focused on the job he’s doing at Forest.

“He’s very much got tunnel vision. There’s no distracting him.

“He’s working towards trying to achieve promotion.

“He seems very content at Forest. It doesn’t seem like his head is about to be turned by anything like that. He’s very focused. He’s an honourable man and he likes the club.

“He knows he’s got a chance at Forest, if he gets it right, to get into the Premier League with them.

“The fans already love him, and if he can take the club to that next step he’ll be a hero in these parts.”
