Why it’s too soon to panic about the Nuggets’ slow start

Despite the fact that we’re only four or five games into the 2019-20 NBA season, there are a few trends emerging from the early action.

It looks like the Russell Westbrook and James Harden experiment is actually working for the Houston Rockets, who have gone from being one of the league’s slowest teams to one of the fastest. The Philadelphia 76ers put a bunch of giants on the court together … and it’s working, particularly on the defensive end.

We shouldn’t buy into the Denver Nuggets’ slow start. They’ve got the NBA’s best depth and that was BEFORE Michael Porter Jr. had an incredibly good debut.

Other subjects we cover in our 4-Point Play: can the Sacramento Kings get back to speeding up the pace? And what should the Golden State Warriors do now?
