Why isn't Coronation Street on TV tonight and when will it be back on screen?

After the devastating factory collapse which killed Rana, Corrie fans will be eager to know what happens next - but they have a wait on their hands.

Coronation Street will not be on TV on Friday night because of the England v Czech Republic football game, which kicks off at 7:45pm.

Meaning soap fans will have to wait until Sunday at 8pm for a special hour long episode.

That episode focuses on the aftermath of the factory collapse, as Kate and Rana'a family try to come to terms with what has happened, and fingers start to point at Carla.

On Monday Coronation Street is again moved from it's normal slot of 7:30pm - again because of the international football.

Montenegro v England takes the place of Corrie - with kick off at 7:45pm on Monday night.

But by Wednesday the show is back in its usual slot, with an hour long episode on Friday as well.
