Angry Masked Dancer fans have taken aim at ITV for cancelling the show in order to screen a football friendly between England and Austria.
Similar to how the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals used to run every year before the coronavirus pandemic, The Masked Dancer has been airing over consecutive nights since making its highly anticipated debut on Saturday.
Four acts have now left the competition after being voted off by the panel. First to go in a shock elimination was Diversity dancer and former BGT champion Jordan Banjo in the disguise of Viper.
Following him out of the crazy guessing game was Louise Redknapp as Flamingo, while burlesque star Dita Von Teese bowed out on Monday night after her dancing alias Beetroot was axed.
Tuesday night saw the panel in a state of shock at sporting legend Eddie the Eagle being under the Rubber Chicken mask but anyone hoping to see another famous face unmasked on Wednesday will have to wait a little longer.
The Masked Dancer isn't on tonight and is instead back on Thursday at 7.30pm.
And its absence from Wednesday's schedule has not been received well, particularly given the fact England's match is only a friendly.
One viewer tweeted: "the Man City, Chelsea and Man U players have not joined up with England yet, add to that the injuries and we’d struggle to put a side out without the players who have been left out. Must have known it would be pointless.. They’ve cancelled Masked Dancer for this"
Another reacted: "No show tomorrow because of England's useless friendly. #maskeddanceruk."
Among the acts still be unmasked on The Masked Dancer include Frog, who many fans claim to have 'rumbled' as Lisa Snowdon, Squirrel who Cheryl has been linked to and Beagle, who panellist Mo Gilligan guessed as being Alan Shearer.
The show comes to an end sooner than you might expect, with the final airing on Saturday night.
