Why is Loose Women not on today? ITV show off for rest of week

Those sitting down to watch Loose Women this afternoon may be disappointing to hear it's off air for the entire week.

The ITV panel show won't be back until next Monday (March 22).

This is due to coverage of the Cheltenham Festival which is airing weekdays from 1pm on ITV.

Loose Women said: "So we're taking a little break for the racing."

If they were on air, it is likely the panel would be celebrating after it was announced on Tuesday evening that the show has earned a major dong at the Royal Television Awards.

Loose Women was crowned the Best Daytime Programme 2021.

Panellists Charlene White, Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Kelle Bryan spoke out on the major win, after forming the show's first-ever all-Black panel in the show's 21-year-history, the Daily Star reports.

Charlene, who is also an anchor on the ITV News, said: "I'm very proud of all of us: the entire Loose presenting team, every single one of our off-screen team, the viewers, and of course those who paved the way.

Charlene White has spoken out on the award win (ITV)

"For many viewers, it was an emotional moment to see four black women on their screens, a sentiment that was shared amongst all of us that day."

Judi commented: "Today I want to say to many little girls and women, that see themselves in me, you are enough.

"Thank you to all of the Loose Women producers who continue to work with courage, care and passion to deliver the best daytime TV for all! Thank you RTS!!!!"
