There's been a big change of presenting personnel for the 2021 National Television Awards, with Joel Dommett replacing David Walliams as the show's host.
Prior to David taking over the reins of the annual event last year, former X Factor host Dermot O'Leary had held the job. It was Dermot himself who announced he'd be standing down as NTAs presenter in an Instagram post last year.
In it, he said "After 10 years of proudly hosting the National Television Awards, I have decided it’s time to step down as host," he wrote alongside a picture of him holding up one of the iconic golden gongs.

David Walliams came under fire for some rather off the mark gags during his stint hosting the NTAs, including a very poorly received one about Caroline Flack, weeks before her death.
This year, Joel Dommett will get his first chance at hosting the NTAs, having impressed both viewers and ITV bosses as host of two series of The Masked Singer and one series of it's spin-off show, The Masked Dancer.
Joel's role was announced in May, when he commented: “It’s a huge honour to be hosting the NTAs this year! It still feels like someone has made a wonderful error.
"I really, really love TV and can’t wait to celebrate the best stuff from what’s been a very weird year or so.
I"’m also really hoping The Masked Singer wins something so I can present an award to myself. That’s a creative narcissist’s DREAM!”
NTA’s Executive Producer, Kim Turberville, said: “We are so excited to be back to celebrate a remarkable TV year like no other. There is a wealth of great television to recognise and we are delighted to have Joel at the helm.
"With his wit and natural charisma, he’ll definitely be bringing a fresh approach to this year’s awards.”
