Why is Coronation Street not on tonight? Reason why ITV soap is cancelled AGAIN

It's happened again - Coronation Street has been cancelled.

The reason? Football of course.

Hoards of viewers are set to be left incredibly frustrated this evening as they switch over to ITV at 7.30pm hoping to watch their favourite Weatherfield-based soap.

Instead, international football will occupy the channel as England play Montenegro in the Euro 2020 qualifier.

Kickoff is expected to be at 7.45pm but the football will stretch from 7pm until 10pm this evening... something that isn't likely to amuse soap fans this evening.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street CANCELLED - and fans are furious

Yesterday viewers were treated to an hour-long episode after the soap was cancelled on Friday for England's match against the Czech Republic, so viewers can expect to get an extra helping of Corrie at another time.

Last night viewers watched the fallout of the heartbreaking factory roof collapse which killed Rana Habeeb.

Her mother finally returned to Coronation Street , infuriating her brother in the process.

Emmerdale has also been cancelled this evening for the same reason.

Instead it will be airing for an hour tomorrow to make up for the half an hour missed.
