Why is Clavicular targeting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after Riley Roberts split? Their looksmaxxing history adds another twist

Clavicular has made his interest in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after reports about her split from Riley Roberts. The streamer reacted to TMZ’s X post, writing, “I can fix her.” The comment comes after the two crossed paths over Clavicular’s looksmaxxing trend, when Ocasio-Cortez said she was more worried about its message to men than about Clavicular himself.

Clavicular shoots his shot at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, posted his comment after TMZ reported on August 12 that Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts had ended their engagement. An important detail: the breakup itself does not appear to be recent. The Cut reported on August 12 that the pair had reportedly split around two years ago, while Puck journalist Leigh Ann Caldwell had also reported that the engagement ended earlier.

That makes Clavicular’s post less about reacting to a fresh breakup and more about responding to news that the relationship had ended. His message was direct: “I can fix her.” There is no public indication that Ocasio-Cortez has responded to the comment, so there is nothing to suggest that the congresswoman has shown interest in the streamer.

The exchange has some history behind it. In July, Ocasio-Cortez was asked by TMZ DC about Clavicular and the looksmaxxing trend linked to his online content. She did not focus on attacking him personally. Instead, she said she was concerned that young men could face the same kind of pressure around their appearance that women have dealt with for years.
