Why hasn’t Kawhi Leonard made his decision yet? Here are 5 theories

As of midday Tuesday, Kawhi Leonard is still a free agent, which has NBA fans biting their nails as they wait to see if the reigning Finals MVP will choose to stay with the Toronto Raptors or sign with the Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers.

And that means we’ve reached the conspiracy theory portion of the process.

Everyone’s coming up with ideas as to why Leonard is waiting, some of which appear half- or fully serious, and some of which are just plain funny.

We’ve collected some of them below, because we’re waiting for Leonard to sign, just like you.

1. Leonard is waiting to deliberately cripple the other teams

Long-standing rumors sent him to Clips. Lakers buzz increased considerably after AD trade.

Say the LAC plan is the plan. What better way to weaken a conference AND city rival then pretending you might join LAL so they wait and miss out on other free agents.

In other words, if he spurns the Lakers, they’re going to be left without players they could have signed if they knew Leonard wasn’t coming. That would be devious.

2. He’s using AOL to make the announcement

3. He’s taking his time to come up with the perfect tweet

4. He’s trolling all of us

There's a lot of theories out there about how kawhi is just trolling the Lakers. This is simply not true
