One of my favorite NBA draft prospects flying under the radar is Georgia Tech wing Michael Devoe, who is arguably the nation’s best shooter.
He is leading all D-I players with 25.0 points per game. But what’s most exciting is that he has been efficient in the process. Devoe is shooting an absurd 59.0 percent on 3-pointers, and even if that won’t continue at quite that place, he has shown why he has tremendous value.
When shooting challenging shots off the bounce, per Synergy, the 6-foot-5 senior is averaging more points per possession than any other college player who is attempting at least four dribble jumpers per game.

Even though he is not a point guard, he is assisting on more than a quarter of Georgia Tech field goals in minutes when he is on the floor. When including passes, he has finished more than 20.0 percent of his possessions running ball screens.
However, collegiate defenders have continued to go under screens when guarding him, sagging off him as the ball handler and giving him open space to shoot.
Each time that happens, as the ball handler in pick and roll sets, he is averaging more points per possession than anyone who has had as many opportunities as he has had thus far.
Perhaps what is most encouraging about how his game will translate to the pros, though, is that the offense doesn’t need to run through him in order to make an impact.
Put him at the top of the perimeter and Devoe leads the nation in points scored after handoffs. Based on everything else you have read, maybe this isn’t going to surprise you, but he has been the nation’s most efficient player on this play type as well.

On Dec. 1, Devoe had 33 points against a Wisconsin team that has one of the best defenses in the nation. He played every single minute of the match and as Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard explained, Devoe can still knock down shots even if you “defend him perfectly.”
He also dropped 37 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals against rival Georgia on Nov. 19. Devoe has had at least 5 assists in four of his first six appearances of the season thus far.
Devoe is someone who isn’t appearing on many mock drafts right now. But when we release our next update, he will firmly be in the mix as a draftable prospect on our radar and on the board for teams all around the league.
