Why Everton FC is expanding partnerships with Fratelli Beretta and USM Holdings

Everton FC has announced it is expanding its commercial partnership contracts with two global firms, including an Italian food giant that will now become its first official academy partner.

Fratelli Beretta, which was already one of the club's official partners, will become the academy partner for the 2019/20 season, while USM Holdings, a multi-national firm, has also increased its commercial partnership contracts with the Premier League club.

It means the Fratelli Beretta logo will appear on the Everton Academy shirts, while a company under USM Holdings will have its logo or name on the sleeve of the first team training kit.

The news for Fratelli Beretta comes a year after it became an official partner.

According to the Toffees, as well as Fratelli Beretta branding on the front of academy teams’ match shirts, it will also appear within the academy areas of the club’s USM Finch Farm training ground, and at each of the academy teams’ home fixtures.

The company will also have an increased advertising presence at Goodison Park on matchdays.

Alan McTavish, commercial director at Everton, said: “The decisions of both Fratelli Beretta and USM Holdings to invest further in their partnerships with us is very pleasing and demonstrates the value they have already seen from their initial partnership deals with us.

"It is also a sign of our continued commercial progress. Our team are looking forward to working even more closely with these brands and their companies on what are innovate packages of rights that we are sure will work well for all parties.”

Fratelli Beretta said the news reflects the eighth-generation family-owned company’s values of investment in its people.

Its training academy supports up to 30 of its most promising employees each year to become the next generation of managers, leading operations worldwide.

With more than 2,500 employees and 30 production plants in Europe, the USA and Asia, Fratelli Beretta is one of the leaders in Italian food production.

USM Holdings initially signed a five-year deal as a Principal Partner with Everton in 2017, giving them naming rights for the club’s Finch Farm training ground.

But now the expanded deal with Everton will see USM Holdings become its official matchday presenting partner, whilst also seeing increased presence across Club channels for companies from within the USM Holdings portfolio, including MegaFon and Mail.Ru Group.

The package includes enhanced visibility for these brands, including the shirt-sleeve of the first-team training wear and "significantly increased" presence on matchdays at Goodison Park for companies within the group, which has interests across the metals and mining, telecoms, technology and internet sectors.
