The Philadelphia Eagles selected Stanford wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside with the 57th overall pick.
Arcega-Whiteside is a big wide out at six-foot-two and 225 pounds, and he certainly plays big. As arguably the best jump ball receiver in the class, he has incredibly strong hands and can box out cornerbacks with ease. He has great play strength, and he is a solid straight-line athlete for a player his size.
While a raw route runner, he has potential to be a red-zone nightmare right from the get-go.
With players like Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert locked in as weapons for Carson Wentz – and potentially Nelson Agholor, if he isn’t traded – the Eagles added another dangerous weapon in Arcega-Whiteside. Philadelphia’s offense gets stronger with this selection.
