The Philadelphia Eagles have selected Washington State offensive tackle Andre Dillard with the 22nd overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Dillard is a talented tackle who can turn into an excellent blindside protector for an NFL team. He has elite athleticism and is the most experienced pass blocker in this class. His footwork is great and he has done an excellent job of developing throughout his career in college.
He does need to work a bit on his hand placement and anchoring but he has the upside and athleticism to develop into an elite left tackle in this league.
For the Eagles, taking the chance on Dillard could turn out to be quite beneficial. He is an elite athlete that could develop into a stellar left tackle learning behind Jason Peters. Peters is late in his career and likely to retire soon. Finding the future at LT in Dillard was a big move for the Eagles. Great pick to get a top 10 talent this late in this draft.
