The Miami Dolphins have selected Clemson defensive lineman Christian Wilkins with the 13th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Christian Wilkins is an excellent draft pick both on and off of the field. He is an excellent player with scheme and position versatility along a defensive front. He has solid athleticism and has improved his technique every year. Off the field, he is a a leader for his team and excellent in the community. He is just a great pick for his on field play and the culture he establishes off of the field.
For the Dolphins, taking the chance on Wilkins could turn out to be quite beneficial. He is an excellent culture fit for a team looking to start over and build a competitive team. Wilkins is an excellent player on the field but where his true value lies is what he’ll bring to the locker room.
Super smart player who will be an excellent leader and help turn around a struggling team. With the additions of him and Minkah Fitzpatrick last year, the Dolphins have gotten smarter and better on their defense.
