Speaking after a viral clip showed a streamer apparently sleeping behind the wheel, he argued that the platform is doing more than simply hosting the content. According to Asmongold, Twitch has created a system that rewards these streams, even after repeated warnings about the risks. His comments have once again put the spotlight on how the platform handles driving-related content.

Why Asmongold believes Twitch should be held responsible for distracted driving streams
Asmongold shared his views during a livestream on August 3, reacting to a clip that had spread online showing a streamer seemingly asleep while driving.
“I can’t wait for one of these streamers to kill somebody on stream because of distracted driving. I want Twitch to get sued,” Asmongold said, adding that it is “crazy” that people still have “leeway” for driving streams.
He then explained why he believes the platform should also be held responsible if a serious accident happens.
“Why would Twitch get sued for that? Because they have created an incentive structure around allowing people to distracted drive on their platform that they’ve profited from, they’ve been made away of this, and they’ve chosen to ignore it.
